Hope Bay is a fold in the escarpment with a sand cove tucked inside — sheltered, warm, and shaped like the Bruce decided to make exactly one soft landing. The cliffs hold the wind off, the shallow water holds the heat, and the whole cove holds maybe a fraction of the people it deserves. A warm swim on the Bruce Peninsula shouldn't be possible.
