THE STORY
The Sixth is a Georgian Bay lifestyle brand built on a simple claim: Georgian Bay is the Sixth Great Lake. It gives each of the Bay's beaches, 35 so far and more dropping soon, their own hand-drawn crest and GPS coordinates across four apparel collections, Beaches, Rivalry, West Wind and VI Essentials, paired with a free digital Passport where locals and visitors claim their beaches, complete field tasks and earn Bay Miles.
It was founded by Fay Chapple and Stacy Maynard, two locals who were tired of the Bay being treated as Muskoka's overflow. The point of The Sixth is to send people to the public shorelines their own towns are proud of, and to give a lake that has always punched above its name the identity it deserves. The Sixth is a NorthFuse Group company based in Tiny, Ontario.

WHY THE SIXTH GREAT LAKE
- Georgian Bay is roughly four-fifths the size of Lake Ontario, a Great Lake in all but name.
- It holds the 30,000 Islands, the world's largest freshwater archipelago.
- It touches Manitoulin Island, the largest freshwater island on Earth.
- Generations of locals have simply called it the Sixth Great Lake. The Sixth made it official.
